We Are South Dakotans/Camping On The Rez

Just a quick update on our travels - we have moved several times since the last blog.    After we left Wall, SD we stayed at Left Tailrace Campground, an Army Corps of Engineers Park near Chamberlain, SD.  From there we moved to Big Sioux Recreation Area in Sioux Falls, SD.  The reason we had to go to Sioux Falls was to change our domicile to South Dakota (drivers license, license plates, insurance , etc.) which we did successfully.  Now we are headed back north and west to North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, etc.  Our next stop was Brown County Fairgrounds in Aberdeen, SD.  From there we traveled (today) to Indian Memorial Recreation Area which is on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation on an island in the Missouri River.   From here we will head North to North Dakota and then West to Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

They have a reconstructed village of turn of the century buildings at the fairgrounds - also, a stock car track, an ice hockey arena,  and dozens of buildings for the annual fair
