Our First Trip With The RV - Acadia National Park

Our first trip to a campground with the RV went well - no problems going to or from the campground and everything in the RV worked.  I was pleasantly surprised that the truck got about 11.5 MPG pulling the trailer.  We stayed at Mountain View Campground in East Sullivan, ME, just outside of Acadia National Park which is just over an hour from the house.  Here is a picture of the RV set up at the campground.

We had a site right on the ocean overlooking Flanders Bay and looking over to Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island.   This is a view of Flanders Bay from the camper with Cadillac Mountain at Acadia National Park in the background along with a few lobster boats.

We spent  two nights here and spent much of our time exploring Schoodic Point which is a lesser known part of Acadia National Park that is on the mainland rather than on Mount Desert Island.  We loved Schoodic Point - it is just as scenic as the main part of Acadia National Park but, for the most part, without the tourists.  Here are a few photos.
