Rainy Day & The Umbrella Factory

Not much to report - rain off and on today.  We did get to walk a few miles between showers in our campground and around the adjacent KOA campground.  Later we had to make a grocery run to the local grocery, "The Umbrella Factory".  This is  an interesting place as grocery stores go.  The place was never a factory and  has very little to do with umbrellas other than there are several hundred of them hanging from the ceiling.  I first thought maybe it was an inexpensive solution for a leaky roof but apparently it is a marketing thing. Hey, they got us to shop there and take pictures so I guess its working.   In addition to the umbrellas, the place is full of antiques, collectibles and memorabilia (on display, not for sale).   

Now, here is some true marketing brilliance - The UFO (Umbrella Factory Outlet) Dairy Bar and Liquor Store - great fun for the whole family!

Two Hikes Today

We took a couple of hikes today, not counting the morning and evening walks with Darby to do his business.

The first was to Jugtown Forest which was a nice easy hike of about five miles - nothing too remarkable - mostly woodlands - didn't take any other pictures.

On the way back we stopped in Naples and walked the boardwalk and the causeway.  They have an interesting sternwheeler paddleboat, The Songo River Queen II, that sails on Long Lake and the Songo River which connects with the larger Sebago Lake through a lock system.
